| Duties and Functions |
To handle all marketing and purchasing related activities pertaining to a specific line of products.
Manage one or two Junior Brand Managers Handling a portfolio of brands, in the Lebanese market. |
| Responsibilities |
1. Participates in the process of developing a targeted company sales forecast.
2. Participate in developing a marketing strategy aimed at achieving targeted annual
company business plan and sales forecast.
3. Participates in the formulation of the marketing policies and procedures.
4. Suggests, plans and monitors product related promotional schemes and supervises
their execution.
5. Monitors and evaluates the performance of products and suggest proper corrective
action in coordination with the Finance and Sales Departments
6. Suggests the introduction of new products that would enhance the sales of the
company.
7. Follows-up on product related advertising and promotional activities.
9. Handles the contacts with the product suppliers.
10. Plans and coordinates the stock ordering process in compliance with the annual sales
forecast, in coordination with the Finance Department. This task includes the
preparation of the purchase orders, shipping, costing, etc…in order to ensure the
timely arrival to the company warehouses.
11. Follows up on stock level related matters such as expiry dates, reordering etc.
12. Supervises the merchandise set-up in coordination with the Sales Manager and other
product managers and ensures its optimal shelving.
13. Conducts regular field visits to the market in order to keep abreast with the latest
market developments.
14. Conducts regular market visits to existing customers or potential ones in order to
expand the customer data base and accordingly coordinate the necessary product
related public relation events
15. Conducts the necessary feasibility studies prior to the introduction of new products.
16. Conducts training sessions to merchandisers on promotional techniques and relay it to the Sales Manager for implementation.
17. Prepares regular quantitative reports regarding the performance of product lines.
18. Assumes all authorities outlined in the authorities schedule.
19. Undertakes any other assignment as per his direct superior’s instructions
• DELI Product Development & Sourcing:
- Look for potential new suppliers/packers for existing and new product categories
under the Deli umbrella
- Keep record, and contact, of current and potential suppliers / product line and product category
- Always have updated price quotations, and work on updating them for each season / crop, and have an updated price list at all times.
- Prepare purchase estimates for each category/product during its respective
season
- Negotiate annual and seasonal deals with packers
- Coordinate with the supply chain department, to plan the shipping schedule throughout the season

- Exhibitions:
- Establish contact with exhibition organizers / representatives
• With the Finance Department for reviewing the actual versus the budgeted results.
• With the Sales Department in all matters pertaining to penetration rates.
